The specialized make-up teaching is given by instructors whose principal activity is to work as professional make-up artists. A lot of them can speak English. They are all completely uptodate with the profession. In the 2 years, a student will have had the opportunity to meet, on average, more than 30 pro make-up artists. The diversity of styles and techniques is guaranteed…

3) More than 700 training placements per year.
The ITM takes the professional integration of its students very seriously. To increase their experience, two pedagogical assistants offer them trainee placements in real conditions every day. These placements are carried out all through the 2nd and 3rd years. For the 1st year students, these propositions depend on the student’s initial level. The offers are published daily on the ITM’s intranet site web.
4) For 20 years ITM graduates have been in the profession.
Many graduates are seasoned chief make-up artists. They constitute the base of the network which, every year, enables us to offer more and more trainee placements to our students. More than 1000 students have graduated from the ITM after their 2 year course.
5) Multiplicity of brands, products, materials.

As on sets and in studios, in the school the students use many brands and various make-up textures: Ben Nye, Bobby Brown, Clinique, Fardel, Joe Blasco, Kryolan, Mac, Make Up For Ever, Mehron, Numeric Proof, Shu Uemura, Viseart. |
Concerned with preparing its students for the demand of the professional world, the ITM is taking into account the development of digital technology through the use of make-up products and brands specifically adapted to this type of camera, photography and light. Similarly, since 2003, students have had airbrush training in their course, a new make-up technique from the United States.

10) Studying at the ITM is not just about learning techniques, but also preparing oneself for a professional career
The instruction is multidisciplinary. It integrates the fields connected to make-up such as hairstyling, styling, postiche work… In this way the students learn about the professions they will be working with. They understand their constraints and demands take these into consideration in their own work.
Creativity and openness to artistic activity are favored thanks to classes in drawing, painting, modeling, history of portrait and therefore of beauty through the ages.
Instruction in English, and particularly in the vocabulary of make-up, facilitates the students’ integration into multicultural teams during international cinema productions or fashion shows.
Reading and screenplay analysis seminars enable the students to develop their ability to anticipate and prepare a film shoot.
ITM prepares the students for their entry in their profession through simulations of professional situations such as interviews, portfolio presentations, making appointments by telephone , CV writing workshops, application letters or business card design. A class module is devoted to the steps to be taken upon graduating from the school.
