A lot of make-up techniques are exchanged between France and the United States. In the case of the airbrush, it was the Americans who developed the technology. In the last ten years, make-up artists have been doing their work with perfectly adapted machines and products (Dinair for example). First of all used for the cinema, the airbrush has now conquered fashion, advertising, special effects and even television. Why such a success ? The blending of colors is even more homogenous and the shades infinite (or almost). This technique can be used on skin as well as on synthetic materials (prostheses, false skulls) or hair. And above all, the hygienic conditions are reinforced as there is no contact between the skin and the tool because it is a spray: the make-up product is sprayed on thanks to a compressor and a base whose rate is regulated. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in Europe.
