Admission procedure




Admission Conditions

  • Applicants must at least have passed the French baccalaureate or equivalent examinations, or have completed a beautician training course or an arts foundation course.
  • Admission to the professional make-up artist training course is based on an interview. For this interview, Candidates must bring their school/college records with them to the interview. They may also present any work undertaken, either within or outside the education system, or any other documents they consider relevant.

  • For applicants who have a diploma in a specialized area of learning or from a different curriculum from that leading to the baccalaureate, the ITM proposes a year of preparatory artistic work in the Atelier Albers in the same premises as the ITM. Students attend classes in drawing, life drawing, modeling, graphics techniques, Art history, English… This training prepares and gives them awareness of the world of art and creation. They can then enter the professional make-up artist training course.

  • Students from other countries who apply for the professional make-up artist course must have the equivalent of a baccalaureate/high school diploma. The selection process can sometimes be arranged in the student's country of origin.   • To enroll in the third year in parallel admission, it is necessary to have followed a two year make-up course, or to have worked as a professional make-up artist for at least two years.



When to start applying
The recruitment begins in January of every year. It is advised to apply as early as possible. Registrations are made according to the order of arrival of the applications. The closing date can therefore vary from one year to the next.
